Mrs. Mikel Salsgiver

I am a native Texan and I have lived in the metroplex most of my life.  I was born in Waco, TX. and went to public school in Dallas.

I am a graduate of THE University of Texas, Austin (HOOK 'EM HORNS!) and I never stop learning!  

I have been married for 30+ years, and I'm a mom to an amazing daughter and several pets.  (Seriously, it's like a farm at my house!)

We like to travel to all parts of the US and abroad as a family - visiting national parks, ballparks, zoos, aquariums and museums.

I love teaching all areas of science, especially anything to do with nature.  

One of my favorite parts of teaching is getting to know my students!  I truly enjoy attending their extracurricular activities, so you'll see me in the stands and in the audience.

I have been teaching in Plano since 2003 and at Clark HS since 2015.

I am the Co-Adviser for Clark HS National Honor Society, the BIOlympiad sponsor, and the Sponsor for Clark HS Girls in S.T.E.M.
